Shao

The chart shows the percentage of people who can drive in 15 minutes to various services in UK. The chart compares the people living in urban areas and living in rural areas.
范文(红色字体为高分结构或表达) This bar compares the proportions of residentsdwellingin thecities and outskirtswho can reach six public services by car in a quarter. Overall, it is clear that urban citizens havemore advantages inaccess to all the facilitiesavailablethan the people in suburbs, especially for supermarket and post office. In terms of city inhabitants, almost 100% of them can get to all theinfrastructuresby driving in 15 minutes. However, 8% of them need drive a longer period of time to primary school. As for individualsresiding incountryside, they have to spend more time on the road to go those destinations in comparison. To be specific, heading forsecondary school is the most convenient one, with 95% of them getting there within 15 mins.It is also noticeablethat same proportions of people (85%) in these areascommute tothe hospital, petrol station and primary schoolin the given time. Nonetheless, mailing letters would be the hardest thing forrural dwellersas 30% of them are far away. Jeff. Lei

Since human beings realized their power to harness nature and space, theyare insatiably exploitingthe outside world. However, there is a growing body of opinion thatit is unjustified to invest public money in space but problems on the earth shouldbe prioritized. I personally agree with this statement and willsubstantiate itin this essay. Admittedly, outer space exploration may discover more resources and also expand human beings’habitat in other planets, which could ensure humanity’s long term survival and wean the Earth off fossil fuels. It is acknowledged thatthe environment is sodeterioratedthat the Earth may becomebarren and not inhabitableany more. However, more detrimental impacts might be exerted to either individuals or the whole society. Space research, which is not a necessary but a desire, requireslong term commitmentsandtremendous running expensesyet can not be rewarded in a short time.A wealth of information showsspace shuttle disasters and how NASA failed on some of its missions risking the lives of astronauts. On the other hand, more urgent issues on the Earth could be devoted by the authorities to benefit the whole society. In some remote areas, there still remain large numbers of peopledeprived oflives by poverty and famine.Compared withcreating more possibilities for the future of mankind,of more significance isthe government’s budgets to ameliorate the situation. Moreover, the severe environment contamination such as climate change, global warming and acrid rainwould undoubtedly threatenwholesomeness of citizenswithout being reversed effectively. Therefore, the politicians should help alleviate poverty and improve health by curing, preventing and managing all illnesses in terms of financial support. In conclusion, despite of some progress achieved by space research, a balance should be maintained in the governmental budgets until humans have addressed those more essential problems of the globe. Alice.Hua
